General directions of using personal data

In general you can access our web site and browse through most of the site without disclosing your personal data. But to provide some services we have to collect some personally identificable information. This policy statement outlines our practices regarding the information we collect. It is compliant with the legal provisions valid for the countries in which the web sites are maintained.

Data Collection and Purpose Specification

We do not automatically log personal data nor we link information automatically gathered by third parties with personally indentificable information about specific individuals. We will ask you when we need information that personally identifies you. Generally, this information is collected when you are requesting our services, like ordering catalogues, registering before downloading software, signing up for an event, using our online support or applying for an employment. The data collected is limited to details needed to provide the requested service, e.g. name, adress, email adress and telephone number in order to provide information you ordered.In the job application we may need more specific data about the user, such as information about the interests, likes, type of job, education, family characteristics etc. We only gather data that you volunteer.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Use of Personal Data

KMT GmbH will store and process your personel data only for the purpose for which it was collected and the subsequent use limited to the fulfilment of this purpose. We should like to use your data also to inform you about our products and services and where applicable request your opinion. Your participation is completely voluntary. Should you not consent, you can inform us at any time, so that we can specifically prohibit the use of your data accordingly. Please consult the contact person indicated in the last paragraph of this statement. We will not disclose your data nor make it available to third parties without your permission, other than for the following exceptions:

Accessing Information and Individual Participation

You can ask us whether we are keeping personal data about you. If requested, we will provide you with a copy of the personal data which we keep about you after asking you to provide proof of your identity. If you cannot proof your identity, we reserve the right to refuse to provide you with a copy of your personal data. At any time, you may request that we delete, correct or complete your data. The contact information is provided in the last paragraph of this statement.


KMT GmbH uses organizational security policies and rules to protect the personal data we have under control from unauthorised access, improper use or disclosure, unauthorised modification and unlawful destruction or accidental loss. Our employees and data processors are obliged by us to respect confidentiality. However, KMT GmbH do not give visitors the option of using a secure transmission method, therefore we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access while transmitting the data will never occur and the disclosed data will not be used improperly.

Protection of Children´s Personal Information

KMT GmbH do not publish content that is targeted to children and does not specifically collect information about children. We believe that children should get their parents´ consent before giving out personal data. We urge parents or guardians to explain internet safety to their children and to spend time with their children to become familiar with the content available in the internet. If you are concerned about your child´s access to web sites, we encourage you to use control tools available from online services and software manufacturers to help create a safer environment for children.

Use of cookies

Cookies are pieces of information generated by a Web server and stored in the user’s computer as a text-file. The creation of cookies can be preventet and controlled by the user. Microsoft Explorer and Netscape Communicator allow users to set their preferences to be warned when a server tries to set a cookie and be given the opportunity to refuse its creation. KMT GmbH uses cookies in order to collect site-visitation statistics. When entering our site, a cookie with an ID code created while surfing on our site is placed on the customer´s machine. We do not gather any personal information using cookies. The only purpose is measuring the number of visitors to the different areas of our site in order to provide better service to our visitors. The statistics are based on anonymous information which cannot be linked with personal data about specific individuals.

KMT GmbH reserve the right to change this policy at any time. Changes are effective at the time they are posted on this site. The date of the last update will be indicated at the top of this site. The previous Privacy Policy Statements can be requested by consulting our privacy support.
